"St. Clare, Looking toward heaven"

This project was a joy to participate in! This was a special commission for an Eagle Scout working on improving the campus of St. Francis High School in La Canada, CA. It depicts St. Clare as she successfully defends her monastery of San Damiano in Assisi from an invading army with prayers. Her commitment to care for the poor and living a life of poverty herself is a wonderful example of piety. She stands 32" tall and is made from cast resin. It was installed with a dedication ceremony on August 11, 2020.
